Size the Compact Room from the Workstation
Measure the desktop with screens, stands and connected plugs in place. Add chair travel, legroom and the space needed to reach the entrance. Open the printer shelf and every drawer while checking their sizes. These ordinary measurements reveal clashes that are easy to miss when the room is still empty.
Where occasional seating is wanted, measure it after the working desk and chair remain clear. Try the route a visitor would take and notice whether they must pass behind the user. Keep extra floor area only when it has a likely purpose. One dependable arrangement usually serves a compact room better than several furniture ideas that each feel tight.
